Senior Journalist of Bangladesh Abed Khan has been removed from the post of editor-in-chief of
Daily Kalbela. Multiple sources of the newspaper have confirmed this on Saturday afternoon. His name has been removed from the editor's post in the online version of the newspaper as well. The paper nor Abed Khan have yet spoken about why Abed Khan was dropped suddenly or he himself withdrew from the paper.
Journalist, freedom fighter Abed Khan joined Dainik Kalbela as an editor in July last year. Abed Khan, who came under fire after a court verdict in a Dhaka property case, tried to launch several new newspapers in the last few years, including Dainik Jagaron. Later joined Kalbela.
In 2003, he took over the post of editor of Dainik Bhorer Kagoj and in 2005 as editor of Dainik Jugantar. Abed Khan served as editor of Dainik Samakal till 2010. He later served as a founding editor of Dainik Kaler Kantha till 2011 and also as the chief editor of ATN News till 2013.
