10 officers of BCS foreign cadre of Bangladesh have been promoted to the post of Director General. Their promotion orders to Grade C posts were issued on November 13 on the recommendation of the Superior Selection Board. The promoted officers are the present Director Generals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qazi Russell Pervez and Rahat Bin Zaman, Minister of Bangladesh Embassy in Abu Dhabi Muhammad Mizanur Rahman, Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi SM Mahbubul Alam, Minister in Ottawa Dewan Hossne Ayub, Minister in New York SM Nazmul Hasan, Minister in Kathmandu Ishrat Jahan, Minister Muhammad Nazrul Islam in Singapore, Dewan Ali Ashraf who is studying abroad and working in the BIMSTEC Secretariat Mosharraf Hossain. According to an order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the promoted officers will serve in their respective positions at the current workplace.
