Including Bangladeshis 377 migrants detained in Malaysia

Up to 377 illegal immigrants, including Bangladeshi nationals, were arrested in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

The countries of origin of the detainees are Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Indonesia, Pakistan, India, and Sri Lanka.

However, it was unclear how many Bangladeshis were detained.


Malaysian Immigration Ministry Director Ruslin Jusoh said a joint operation with the Malaysian Road Transport Department was carried out in an area adjacent to Putrajaya Road early on Thursday and the illegal workers were arrested.
