Bangladesh Book Fair starting today in Dubai

Bangladesh Book Fair is going to be held for the second time in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This fair will be held at Bangladesh Consulate premises for 3 days from today Friday, December 15 to 17.

BM Jamal Hossain, Consul General of Bangladesh Consulate in Dubai and Northern Emirates, organized the press conference and said, “Bangladesh Victory Festival and Second Bangladesh Book Fair” will be organized by the country’s creative and reputed publishing houses and various local institutions. There will be a total of 70 stalls in the fair. About 25 publishing houses of the country along with several publishing houses located in the UAE will also participate in the fair. Famous poets, writers, writers of different countries including Bangladesh, India, United Arab Emirates will participate in the book fair.

Book fair will be inaugurated by emeritus professor educationist and writer Dr. Syed Manjurul Islam and Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Emirates Md. Abu Zafar will be present as the chief guest.

Each day of the three-day festival will be decorated with new book unveilings, book discussions, literary seminars, various creative and educational events. Apart from this, local and foreign artists will participate in cultural events. Also, the existing traditions, culture and culture of Bangladesh will be highlighted.
