An attempt is being made by protestors to halt the removal of migrants from a south-east London hotel.

Asylum seekers allegedly were being taken from the Best Western Hotel in Peckham, according to activist organisations posting on X, the old Twitter, and they urged people to “take action”.

Asylum seekers were allegedly going to be put on coaches and driven to the Bibby Stockholm barge in Dorset on Thursday, according to organisations like Black Lives Matter UK.

Leaflets handed out in Peckham said that now the Government’s Rwanda plan is law, the Home Office “will be detaining large numbers of people who are seeking asylum” in the coming weeks.

It is understood migrants relocated to the Bibby Stockholm are not prospective Rwanda deportees and will instead be held while their asylum application is processed.
