  • Nigel Farage's GB News salary: £98,000 a month—more than an MP's annual pay

In his capacity as a news channel presenter, the Reform UK leader was making £97,900 per month, which is more than an MP's annual pay (now £91,346, plus expenses).

The register of members' financial interests, which documents the secondary jobs, gifts, donations, and other perks received by MPs, states that Mr. Farage additionally earned £4,000 per month for penning pieces for the Daily Telegraph.

Mr. Farage, who gained a parliamentary seat for the first time in Clacton, also disclosed that he had received a £32,836 donation from businessman Christopher Harborne to travel to the US on July 17 in response to the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump.

"To represent Clacton on the world stage and to support a friend who was almost killed," the Reform leader noted in their log, was the reason for the journey.

Lee Anderson, a fellow Reform MP, declared that he earns £100,000 a year, for work as a presenter and contributor on GB News.
The register of interests also revealed that Sir Keir Starmer received tickets for 12 different football games from August 2023 as well as tickets to a Taylor Swift concert on 21 June.
In the meantime, contributors funded five different helicopter trips for Rishi Sunak starting in August of last year; his stated net worth was £47,141.70.

Since the general election, this is the first registration of members' financial interests to be made public.

Its goal is to guarantee accountability and transparency in the legislature.

MPs must declare any changes to their registrable interests within 28 days according to parliamentary rules.
