Which east London driving test centre has the highest pass rate?

The pass rates of driving test locations in east London have been made public.

Where students have the highest (and poorest) chance of passing has been revealed by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) based on its quarterly data for test locations nationwide.

Test results from April through September of 2024 are included in the data.

Test categories B and B1 are included in these figures.

The Hornchurch driving test center in Station Lane has the best pass rate in east London, with 48.8% of test takers passing, according to the data.

Males and females fared similarly at Hornchurch - only split by 1pc with 49.3pc of males passing compared to the 48.2pc of females.
Goodmayes test centre in is the second most successful location with a pass rate of 44pc. 

This is the most popular test centre in east London with 12,311 tests being taken between April and September 2024.

Male drivers fared significantly better than female drivers at Goodmayes as 48.3pc passed compared to the 39pc of females.

Wanstead test centre, in Hermon Hill Road saw a pass rate of 40.7pc in the same period.

There was a 42.4pc pass rate for males compared to 37.6pc for females.

Barking test centre in Tanner Street saw only 38.1pc of the 3,801 tests taken being successful.

Males again scored higher than females here with 40.3pc passing their tests compared to 34.4pc of females.

Chingford had the lowest pass rate of any test centre in east London at 35.8pc.

The centre saw 37.5pc of males pass, and 33.2pc of females.

The national pass rate for the year to date was 48.5pc, which was up from 47.9pc in the 2023-24 financial year.
