Several arrests were made during a pro-Palestinian rally in Berlin on Sunday, held shortly after a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect, ending the conflict in the Gaza Strip. According to police, participants shouted banned anti-Semitic slogans and set off fireworks. In a statement on X, police confirmed that 12 individuals were taken into custody.

Media personnel covering the event were reportedly harassed and obstructed from carrying out their duties. The rally attracted several hundred people celebrating the recent developments in the Middle East conflict.

The event was cut short by the organizer in consultation with police, just before 8 p.m. (1900 GMT). Over the weekend, several pro-Palestinian demonstrations were held across Berlin. On Saturday, hundreds protested against arms shipments to Israel and voiced support for Gaza, with police noting criminal activities at these gatherings as well.
