Storm Eowyn has disrupted travel plans for hundreds of thousands across Britain and Ireland, with winds exceeding 100mph.  

Over 300 flights have been canceled nationwide, roads are closed, and ferry services face major disruption as the “exceptional” storm poses a life-threatening risk in parts of the country this Friday.  

Although London and the South-East have avoided the Met Office's rare red warning, Storm Eowyn is still causing significant travel chaos in the region, with airlines forced to cancel dozens of flights.  

Nationwide, one in five flights have been canceled as strong winds wreak havoc at major airports.  

Dublin has seen the most cancellations, with 119 departures and 109 arrivals scrapped. Edinburgh follows with 81 departures and 77 arrivals, then Heathrow with 50 departures and 58 arrivals, and Glasgow with 43 departures and 42 arrivals.
