There is no alternative to unity for the restoration of democracy, stated Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, a member of the BNP's Standing Committee, a former minister, and a freedom fighter. His remarks were made during an exchange of views meeting held in London on Tuesday, organized by the Nationalist family of Greater Comilla.
The meeting, hosted at the Regents Lake Banqueting Venue in London, saw Dr. Mosharraf attend as the chief guest. The event also featured Dr. Khandaker Maruf Hossain, a member of the BNP National Executive Committee and a Supreme Court lawyer, as a special guest.
Presided over by Nasrullah Khan Junaid, a DUCSU Senate member, a leader of the '90s student movement, and a prominent community figure, and conducted by Mahbubur Rahman, the meeting addressed the current political landscape.
In his address, Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain stated that the BNP has been struggling for a fair and free election for nearly two decades. He urged everyone to unite and work together with the upcoming election in mind.
Among those who also spoke at the meeting were Ataur Rahman Dhali, an advisor to the BNP Chairperson, Mahidur Rahman, M.A. Malek, Ex deputy mayor Ohid Ahmed, and Badruzaman Selim.
