A 75-year-old man from east Suffolk is set to stand trial in 2027 over multiple historic sex offence allegations dating back more than six decades.

On Thursday, Frederick Budinger, of Pine Bank, Martlesham, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing. He denied eight counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child.

The alleged offences are said to have occurred between June 1964 and November 1972.

His trial, expected to run for six to seven days, is scheduled to begin on July 5, 2027, with a pre-trial review listed for July 1, 2027.

Judge David Pugh granted Budinger unconditional bail to continue.
