The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah laid out appropriate clothing for female pilgrims going by heavenly destinations. The Ministry said women are entitled to wear clothing of their choosing, considering they follow to certain rules.

Saudi ministry defines Umrah dress code

In a statement on social media, the Ministry said: “Females are permitted to wear any clothing of their choice for pilgrimage or Umrah, as long as the following conditions are met:

• “The clothing should be wide and loose-fitting
• “It should not have any decorative elements
• “The clothing should cover the entire body”

Umrah is the name given to a voluntary pilgrimage to Mecca attempted by Muslims. Authorities in Saudi Arabia anticipate around 10m international guests to perform Umrah pilgrimage to the Grand Mosque in Mecca this season.
