VFS Global India extends visa contract for Sweden

sweden The Swedish Ministry of Justice has awarded VFS Global a global tender to provide visa services in 37 countries around the world. In India, you can apply for a Swedish visa at eight application centers: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune. Under the agreement, VFS Global will continue to operate on behalf of the Swedish government in eight regions of the world: South Asia, Americas, Southeast Asia, China, Middle East and North Africa, Africa, Europe and Russia. According to the Swedish Ministry of Justice and the Swedish Migration Agency, “We are looking forward to a continued, smooth and professional Schengen visa cooperation with VFS Global, for many years to come. Quality promotion measures, regionalization and technical development are some areas where we are working on jointly. We continue our fruitful coordination and cooperation with VFS Global and strive to improve the process even further.” VFS Global has worked with the Government of Sweden since 2014 and under the new contract will provide Schengen visa services short term C visas including biometric enrolment in the following 37 countries: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China. Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, USA, Vietnam, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The single-entry Schengen Visa allows you to visit Sweden for a maximum of 90 days within every 180-day period. If you want to apply for your Schengen visa through the Swedish embassy, you will have to start your application at least 45 days before your trip as sometimes, the consulate takes time to make a more detailed exam of the application. The earliest you can apply is three months before your trip. The Swedish visa for adults cost €80, €40 for children between the age of 6-11 and kids below the age of 6 travel for free.
