Currently in Germany there is a shortage of qualified workers in many regions and fields. Data shows that by the end of 2022, Germany needs about 1.98 million workers. With the high number of workers needed, the German government wants to increase the participation of women and older people in the labor market and attract more qualified workers from other countries.
