The post is of Grade-5 or Deputy Secretary status. According to sources, the order of his appointment came from the top level at the special request of a state minister. Even after the foreign secretary's approval, the file was lying on the minister's desk for a long time. The minister was not interested in such an appointment. But the Foreign Minister hastily approved this appointment. There has been a lot of humor and controversy in different circles. Foreign cadre officers are extremely angry about Mithila's appointment. Even though they criticized the government's decision, no official is speaking publicly. He also claimed that due to inexperience in diplomacy, such appointments destroy the image of the government. According to sources, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been given the responsibility to complete all the procedures for Mithila to go to Canada.
