“Access to justice is the main pillar of the rule of law. The better the quality of lawyers in a society, the better the quality of the rule of law and judicial process. When people are sick, they go to the doctor without recourse, just like when they are victims of injustice and have no recourse, people resort to lawyers to get rights or to ensure justice. Lawyers help them get justice or get their rights back with their integrity, skill and competence. The rule of law will remain only in theory or on the books unless the general public can be ensured easy access to the justice system. In 1966 I saw no Bangladeshi solicitors practicing in Britain. It is good to see hundreds of lawyers practicing in the mainstream in Britain today.

I have known and been close to Barrister Nazir Ahmed for a long time. Multi-talented personality Barrister Nazir Ahmed is a well-known name among British-Bangladeshis in Britain, a trusted place in the field of law. I also take legal advice from him from time to time. I am confident that Barrister Nazir Ahmed’s extensive legal knowledge of 25 years will enable the new Chambers to provide legal services more efficiently at a larger scale.”
