Another Bangladeshi national has vanished in Kolkata, adding to the alarming trend of disappearances in the city, soon after the alleged murder of a Bangladeshi MP. The young man, Mohammed Delwar Hossain, 23, vanished from his accommodation on Mirza Ghalib Street when he was in Kolkata for medical reasons.

Hotel management reported that Hossain, accompanied by relatives, may have slipped out of the premises late at night. The relatives reported him missing at the Park Street police station the following morning.

Senior police officials are now scrutinizing CCTV footage from the hotel and surrounding areas. The case gains added urgency in light of the recent disappearance and suspected murder of Bangladeshi lawmaker Anwarul Azim Anar, who was in the city under similar circumstances. Police have already detained two suspects in connection with Anar's murder.
