Tulip Siddique thanked the Bangladeshi community in Britain.
Sheikh Rehana, the younger daughter of Bangabandhu, went to comment on her daughter Tulip Siddiq, the MP of Britain, who elected four times in a row, and said, I never dreamed that Tulip would enter politics. It is of her own volition. I wanted her to study and become a teacher, a judge, a barrister, or something else. But she has gone into politics. I have no contribution here. She is entirely dependent on her own efforts. As a mother, as much as I can, I see my child the way I see myself. I have no credit in her politics, all her own.
She further said, I am thankful to Allah for my daughter being elected MP again. Tulips work in the area year-round, not just during the election season. Tulip devoted her life to politics. I want everyone to pray for her.
She said these while talking to the journalists with her daughter Tulip Siddique by her side after the announcement of the election results at the end of the voting on Friday morning.
Speaking after the victory, Tulip Siddique thanked the Bangladeshi community in Britain.
