The students of Dhaka University, angry over the death of students, took control of all the halls of the university from last night till this morning and attacked and vandalized the rooms of the top leaders of the Chhatra League. Chhatra League leaders and activists of each hall have left the hall.
After the clash in the university on Monday, the general students took control of the three residential halls of science faculty students - Amar Ekushe Hall, Shahidullah Hall and Fazlul Haque Hall. Since this day, no other top leader of BCL has been able to enter these three halls.
On Tuesday night, a Chhatra League leader's room was vandalized at Rokeya Hall. At that time, 10 leaders and activists of the organization left the hall with the Chhatra League president in the face of the cannon. After that, the provost of the hall, Nilufar Parveen, announced that Rokeya Hall is free from politics in the face of the students' demands. After this, even though Kuwait is friendly, BCL leaders and activists were fired. Then at midnight the students of Sergeant Zahurul Haque hall came out with batons and took control of the hall. At this time, the top leaders including the Chhatra League president, general secretary left the hall.
Meanwhile, BNP and Chhatra Dal have come to the ground today on Wednesday, supporting the students' movement. Chhatra Dal clashed with the police at various places including Sylhet.
A group of teachers from various public universities gathered on Wednesday afternoon to find and prosecute and punish those responsible for the killings, assaults and torture in the ongoing anti-quota movement.
Aggrieved by the student's death, actors, actresses, cricketers and other celebrities expressed their anger on social media and demanded an end to the conflict. And demanded quota reform to the concerned.
Considering the demand for quota reform as reasonable, the leaders of the ruling Chhatra League have called for resignation among the workers. Moreover, netizens have constantly called for a boycott of Chhatra League and related parties.
Samaj Tantric Dal (JASAD) president, Freedom fighter and former MP Hasanul Haq Inu expressed grief over the death of students on Tuesday night and expressed support for the quota reform.
