The world's oldest man has been found in Moulvibazar. This man's name is Ramsing Goor. The age of this person is now 119 years according to the National Identity Card information. His house is in Rajghat Union of Srimangal Upazila of the district. He is living in a tea garden there. According to Guinness World Records, the world's oldest man is John Alfred Tinniswood, a resident of Liverpool, UK. He is 111 years old.
Talking to the locals, it is said that about 200 years ago, Ramsingh Gore's grandfather and father Buguram Garh came to Bangladesh as tea workers from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, India. They started living in the village of Mekani on the Tripura border of India, about 40 km from the town of Srimangalpur. They are still living in that village.
It can be seen in the voter ID card, the age of Ramsingh Gore is 119 years. His date of birth is written there on August 6, 1905. Father's name is Buguram Goor and mother's name is Kunti Gond. Voter ID Number- 1024913384.
Ram Singh Gond said that his father's original land was in India. His father and grandfather first came to the area to grow tea. The first Putiachara tea plantation was created by his grandfather and father. Harinchhara tea garden was created in his hands. When the First World War broke out in 1914-15 AD, he was a garden watchman. The English heard about this battle from the gentlemen. He also heard the news from the British when the Second World War broke out in 1939.
He also said that he studied up to class III in Victoria High School, the ancient Vidyapith, Srimangal. At that time, Victoria High School had brick houses with iron pillars on one side and thatched houses on the other side. At that time he used to study from an Acharya house on Moulvibazar road. At that time there was no paved road in Srimangal.
According to Ramsingh Gore, Paka Ghar was the Tripura Rajya Bank in Srimangal Old Bazar, Ramratan Bania's house and Tripura Raja's bungalow (Raj Kachari) west of Jagannath Jiur Akhara. Sometimes the King of Tripura used to come to that bungalow on the back of an elephant. He used to collect rent from there. In the tea garden, the leaves were brought and taken with their own trolleys. He also saw the installation of that trolley line.
Dipendra Bhattacharya, Srimangal's senior teacher, said, Ramsingh Goor's description can undoubtedly be assumed that he is a very old man. I am 80 years old now. As a child, I saw the fraction of Tripura State Bank in Puranbazar. Srimangal Victoria High School was established in 1924 AD but the primary wing was established much earlier. Since his date of birth is 1905 on his voter ID card, he is 119 years old.
He also said that his name (Ramsingh Goor) should be sent to the Guinness Book of Records. Apart from the government, tea garden authorities can also come forward for this.
80-year-old Niren Hadima of Harinchhara Tea Garden said that she joined Harinchhara Tea Garden in 1961 as a staff. It was then that he saw Ramsingh Gord as an old man.
Manika Ritil of the same area said, 'I was born in 1917. I have been watching Ramsingh Gorad since childhood. His physical structure is good. Life force is also intact. He has many grandchildren.
Rajghat Union Parishad Chairman Vijay Bunarjee said, 'The man looks very old. Everyone in the area thinks he is too old.
Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Abu Taleb said, "We have investigated this matter. He has no documents other than NID records. There is no educational qualification certificate and no birth certificate either. Even then we will report this matter to the appropriate authorities.
Deputy Commissioner of Moulvibazar Israel Hossain said, "Subject to the investigation of the matter, the upazila executive officer has been instructed to issue a resolution and send the resignation."
