Orange wind warning extended to more counties ahead of Storm Ashley’s arrival

Ahead of Storm Ashley's arrival on the island of Ireland, seven counties have been placed under an orange wind warning.

The orange alert that already covers Clare, Donegal, Mayo, and Galway has been expanded to include Kerry, Leitrim, and Sligo.

On Sunday, the warning will be in effect from 12 to 8 p.m.
Met Eireann said the first named storm of the season will bring very strong and gusty south to south-west winds, coupled with high spring tides.
