Nabilah Islam Parkes she made history as the first Muslim woman elected to Georgia’s State Senate District 7.At just 27 years old, she defeated Republican Gregory Howard by securing 46,231 votes to his 37,867.She will also serve a two-year term.

Masudur Rahman, a state senator representing District 4 in Connecticut, has been re-elected. With more than 33,000 votes, he broke the district's record for most votes in 50 years. Rahman defeated Republican Stephen King, who received 18,000 votes, to become the first Bangladeshi-American senator from Connecticut. He'll be in office for two years.
Abul Bashar Khan, a Republican, has won a sixth term in the New Hampshire State House of Representatives. With 2,939 votes, Khan defeated Democratic opponent Bob Allbright, who garnered 1,726 votes, to represent Rockingham District 30. Khan will serve a second two-year term after his victory sets a record for successive terms. These triumphs demonstrate the Bangladeshi-American community's increasing visibility and clout in US politics.
