Virginia Giuffre, a key accuser in the Jeffrey Epstein case, has revealed she is hospitalized following a serious car accident.
In an Instagram post, Giuffre stated that she suffered kidney failure after her vehicle collided with a school bus. She claimed doctors had given her “four days to live” and were transferring her to a specialist hospital.
Her spokesperson, Dini von Mueffling, confirmed the incident to the BBC, stating that Giuffre is receiving medical care and appreciates the public’s support and well wishes.
Alongside a photo from her hospital bed showing visible bruising, the 41-year-old described 2025 as “the worst year.” She also wrote that the crash was so severe her car was “like a tin can” and expressed a desire to see her children one last time.
Giuffre had been living with her three children and husband, Robert, in North Perth, Australia, but reports suggest the couple recently separated after 22 years of marriage.
The details of the crash remain unclear, as both Western Australian police and ambulance services told the BBC they had no records of such an accident in recent weeks. Authorities later identified a “minor crash” involving a car and a bus on March 24, but no injuries were reported.
Giuffre is widely known for her claims that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell trafficked her to Prince Andrew when she was 17. While the Duke of York has consistently denied the allegations, he reached an out-of-court settlement with her in 2022. The settlement included a statement expressing regret over his ties to Epstein but did not contain an admission of guilt or an apology.
