A hush has fallen over political circles in the UK and Bangladesh following a clandestine meeting between former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, and top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami. The encounter, held at the Kingston residence of Khaleda Zia’s son, BNP Acting Chairperson Tarique Rahman, has sparked intense speculation, with both parties remaining tight-lipped about the details. Khaleda Zia, currently staying for treatment in London, UK, has met with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman and Naib E Ameer Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher.

The meeting, confirmed by a reliable Jamaat source to Daily Dazzling Dawn, took place on Saturday afternoon. Adding to the intrigue, the revelation of the meeting surfaced via a social media post from Khaleda Zia’s former press secretary, igniting a flurry of online chatter.

However, the silence from both the BNP and Jamaat leadership has been deafening.

A senior Jamaat-e-Islami UK official, speaking anonymously, stated that they are strategically withholding comment until the BNP breaks its silence. "We do not wish to be the ones to publicly disclose the meeting," the source emphasized.

UK BNP President M.A. Malek, when contacted, claimed to have no knowledge of the meeting.

Adding to the mystery, Maruf Kamal Khan, close source of Khaleda Zia, directed Daily Dazzling Dawn to a social media status, stating, "The status says it all," and implying that the information contained within it should be considered the official statement.

The strategic silence from both parties has fueled speculation about the nature and implications of the meeting. With neither side willing to divulge details, the political landscape remains shrouded in uncertainty, leaving observers to ponder the potential ramifications of this meeting.
