Ailing Zia to Return: Special Arrangements Made for Sunday Flight

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is scheduled to return to the country next Sunday. Reliable sources have confirmed to Daily Dazzling Dawn that special arrangements will be made for the veteran and ailing politician on a regular Bangladesh Airlines flight. While a full air ambulance service won't be available, Khaleda Zia's doctors and travel companions in London are working to ensure the best possible arrangements. Khaleda Zia's elder son and the party's acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, is overseeing the entire matter.

The reason why an air ambulance could not be secured at the last moment remains unconfirmed.

Meanwhile, a list of Khaleda Zia's travel companions went viral on social media on Thursday. Her two daughters-in-law, travel companions, personal staff, and senior UK BNP leaders, including some of their wives, will be accompanying her on the trip.

It is worth noting that Khaleda Zia traveled to London last January for advanced medical treatment. After receiving treatment at a London clinic, she has been residing at her son Tarique Rahman's residence in Kingston.

The former Prime Minister has long been suffering from various physical complications including liver cirrhosis, kidney issues, heart problems, diabetes, and arthritis. However, doctors at the London clinic did not proceed with a liver transplant, considering the risks involved.

She traveled to London on January 8th for advanced medical care, was discharged from a clinic on January 25th after 17 days of treatment, and has since been recovering at her son Tarique Rahman's residence in Kingston.
