The UK is preparing for another spell of hot weather, with temperatures expected to climb as high as 32°C in just two weeks’ time. According to weather maps from WXCharts, which use data from MetDesk, at least 10 counties are forecast to sizzle on July 30, while other regions are also set to stay warm, reports Express.co.uk.

The maps turn deep red over areas around London and Southampton by the end of the month, signalling intense heat. This comes only days after Britain endured three heatwaves earlier this year, with temperatures soaring to 34°C in several parts of the country.

Counties such as London, Surrey, Hampshire, and Kent are among those predicted to experience the highest temperatures. Much of the Midlands — including cities like Birmingham, Nottingham, and Leicester — are also likely to see warm weather, with temperatures varying between 26°C and 28°C.

Meanwhile, the northern parts of the UK are expected to remain cooler compared to the south. Cities such as Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Wick may see temperatures between 16°C and 18°C on July 30, according to the maps.

The Met Office’s long-range forecast for the period between July 30 and August 13 states:
"The end of July and the first part of August will probably see a continuation of similar weather to the previous week or so — this being generally rather changeable with spells of rain or showers mixed in with some drier, brighter days."

It continues:
"Towards mid-August, there are tentative signs that high pressure may become rather more dominant, which would bring more in the way of dry, settled weather more widely. Temperatures are expected to continue to run above average overall, with a greater likelihood, compared to the preceding couple of weeks, of very warm or hot spells to develop by mid-August, especially further south and east."

This expected heatwave comes as the Met Office warns that record-breaking and extreme weather events have become more common in the UK due to climate change. The National Weather Agency highlighted that both extreme heat and heavy rainfall are increasingly becoming the norm, with the last three years ranking among the five warmest on record in the UK.
