Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in London today for high-stakes discussions with global leaders at an emergency summit, smiling and waving for the cameras.

The 47-year-old former comedian-turned-wartime leader was welcomed by UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer as London hosts 18 world leaders—excluding the Americans—for talks on Ukraine’s future.

Zelensky has received a warm reception, having visited Downing Street yesterday, and is expected to meet King Charles III later today.

His visit marks a stark contrast to last Friday when he faced criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance during a meeting in the White House. Both men accused him of being "disrespectful," with Trump warning that he was "gambling with World War III."

Upon arrival at the summit venue, Zelensky and Starmer shared a warm embrace and exchanged a brief conversation before heading inside.
