Dr. Reza Kibria, the distinguished economist and president of the People's Rights Council, held an exchange meeting with expatriate Bangladeshis living in Luton, UK.
Khurram Chowdhury, a senior community leader and one of the advisors of Pravasi Odhikar Parishad central committee, presided over the exchange meeting held in a hall of the local Barry Park on Sunday evening.
Dr. Reza Kibria said in the speech of the chief guest at the exchange meeting organized by former student leader and expatriate rights council leader Syed Delwar Hossain that Raghab Boal of a class has smuggled thousands of dollars from the country to abroad with the help of the unelected government. Even though they live abroad, they are not getting peace of mind, so now they are involved in various illegal schemes.
Mentioning that the nation will not remain hostage in their hands for long, he said, Inshallah, the day will come. In the course of time, people's government will be formed in the country.
Dr. Reza assured the expatriates in response to various questions that if his party comes to power or if he can be a part of the country's management, he will have the most important role in protecting the rights of expatriates.
Senior person and BNP leader of Luton Mohammad Abdullah Miah, Jasad Central Committee Vice President Shamim Ahmad, community leader Nanu Miah, Master Ashraf Uddin, Ruhul Amin, Sirajuddin, Masudur Rahman and a large number of expatriate Bangladeshis were present at the exchange meeting.
