Allegations have been made in Britain that, Awami League activists are also trying to take political asylum with BNP-Jamaat activists.

Lawyers say that the Bangladeshis who have applied for political asylum in Britain are applying as leaders and workers of the opposition party alliance, including BNP-Jamaat. Because there is no opportunity to seek political asylum abroad because of threats of death if there own the party in the country's government.

There are complaints that those who have been involved with the Awami League or like-minded politics for a long time in the country and even abroad are also applying to dress the tortured activists of BNP-Jamaat in the hope of asylum.

Although the exact number is not known, more than a thousand membersnames of BNP Jamaat have applied for political asylum in Britain in the last 16 years, according to the immigration lawyers of the Bangladeshi community working in Britain.

These applicants from different parties are seeking political asylum. In order to make their application credible, the country is being accused in various cases in exchange for money. In exchange for money, they are suing their relatives in their name. They are making up false stories of burning down their own houses and submitting fake pictures and paper cuttings of those events as evidence in court. They are reprinting some pages of unknown newspapers in the country in the backdate of false news about fake cases in their own name. If they return to the country, the leaders and activists of the government party will kill their lives; they will have to spend a long time in jail in the case; their lives are at risk; they are giving such testimony and description in court.

In those cases, copies of documents, paper cuttings of newspapers translated into English, and files with affidavits are applied for political asylum in Britain. To make the details of the case credible to the British court, they are running anti-Bangladesh campaigns on social media, including Facebook, in their own name, sometimes under pseudonyms. Due to this, the image of the country is being greatly undermined abroad.

In an effort to win their case, these asylum seekers are actively participating in the various political agendas of the BNP and like-minded parties in Britain to make their case narratives credible. Objective: Collect photos and evidence of participation in the BNP agenda to prove oneself as a political leader or personality.

In many cases,  leaders of BNP are also testifying in British courts.

It is not only political activists who are applying for political asylum or political asylum from Bangladesh. Journalists, writers, imams, and teachers who have been persecuted by the government are seeking political asylum in Britain. There are retired army officers and retired government officials too.

Many applications are being approved. Many applications are pending. Many appeals are being granted again.

Apart from this, many Bangladeshis are applying for asylum in Britain, claiming to be gay or lesbian.

A gay Bangladeshi citizen named Saiful Alam (38) was sentenced to one year in prison by a British court for attempting to settle in Britain through fraud.

United Kingdom Awami League President Sultan Mahmud Sharif said there are people in Bangladesh who do not accept Bangladesh and our independence. Those who come abroad and make up false stories for their own personal interests have no party. Whatever these opportunists do, they do it for personal gain. Whoever indulges them, they are doing dirty work.

On the other hand, there are complaints within the party itself that some of those who participate in the various programs of the BNP in the United Kingdom participate in collecting pictures, videos, and paper cuttings of political asylums.

Due to the photopolitics of asylum seekers, many senior leaders do not find a place to stand on the various agendas of human bonding and protest parties.

MA Malik is the president of the United Kingdom BNP, In response to the question about how many leaders and activists in Britain have been given proof papers on behalf of the party in the United Kingdom as persecuted BNP leaders and workers in the country, he said, other allied organizations have also given papers.  Because of this, it is not possible to say the exact number.  Malik said, we have given the documents to those who are really oppressed in the country and have participated in regular party activities here.  I gave it for humanitarian reasons.  Besides, we have received complaints that the people of the Awami League have also made fake documents for asylum by forging our documents and letters.  However, due to the photo session of the asylum seekers, the real leaders and workers of the party did not get a chance to stand on the agenda. Malek said that such allegations are false.  

An agreement has been reached between the two countries to quickly return Bangladeshi asylum seekers who failed to prove their application in Britain.  Thousands of Bangladeshis are living a substandard life in this country after spending 30 to 40 thousand pounds on care visas.  Many of them sold everything and came to Britain and were unemployed for months.  When they go to lawyers without any means, a class of lawyers guides them to apply for asylum in a financial agreement. Now the very few genuine applicants are feared to be at a disadvantage.

The news of the new agreement has spread anxiety among the families of the asylum seekers and their relatives in UK and Bangladesh also.
