Asif Akbar, a popular music artist of the nineties, won the hearts of thousands of Bangladeshi expatriates living in Barcelona, ​​Spain, a city of culture and tourism.

Saturday (July 13) at the Plaça de Macaba Park in the center of Barcelona Organized by the Association Cultural and Humanataria de Bangladesh and Catalonia, a crowded open concert was held on the occasion of the Bengal fair.

Asif Akbar, the popular music artist of the Bangladeshi youth of the nineties, performed the music. Asif performed many popular songs including Akake late night, Mane ki Padena, Amay Ule Gele, O Priya O Priya, Sabas Bangladesh.

At the concert, the crowd of Bangladeshi expatriates in Barcelona and the influx of young women was a sight to behold. They enjoy dancing and singing songs of their favorite artists.

Sarwar Mahmud NDC, Ambassador of Bangladesh Embassy in Spain, Ramon Pedro Bernaus, Bangladeshi Council of Barcelona, ​​President of the organizing organization Alauddin Haque Nesa and Chief Advisor Nazrul Islam Chowdhury cut the ribbon under the chairmanship of the organizing organization president Alauddin Haque Nesa and General Secretary Shafiq Khan.

Government officials from Generalidad de Catalonia and Ajuntament de Barcelona were present on stage. Officials and members of organizing organizations including local journalists, leaders of various community organizations.

Later, Saeed Swapan, Manju Swapan, Munni Pakhi, Nigar Hossain and Taifa Rahman started singing the national anthem of Bangladesh.

Bangladeshi artists Manju Swapan, Zeenat Shafiq, Ahana Diwa, Raju Gazi, Varsha, Shubo, Tanmoy and Ami performed songs along with vocalist Asif Akbar.

The dance performance was performed by Bangladeshi child artists born in Barcelona and a dance troupe from Kolkata.

There were 10 local food stalls in the fairgrounds, Bangladeshi Fuchka, Chatapti, Jhalmuri, Pitha, Sweets and other types of local food. The stalls were crowded with foreigners including Bangladeshis.

Organizing President Alauddin Haque Nesa said, thanks to everyone for successfully completing the event. He also expressed his determination to do bigger concerts in the future.

Ambassador Mohammad Sarwar Mahmud said that this organization has been playing a strong role in the development and nurturing of Bangladeshi culture in Barcelona for many years. He congratulated and thanked them for giving an extraordinary pure music evening.

It is to be noted that the overflowing audience enjoyed this beautiful musical arrangement till midnight.

Last month, Bangladeshi Milon Mela, a public festival of expatriate Bangladeshis, could not be completed successfully due to rain.

Many expatriate Bangladeshi viewers and listeners expressed the opinion that the dissatisfaction that was there was somewhat fulfilled through this open concert of Asif Akbar.
