This child is in critical condition after being shot by the police in Akhalia, Shahjalal University Of Science and Technology  area of ​​Sylhet city. He has been taken to Mount Edora Hospital in Akhalia.

Quoting eyewitnesses, students, and police sources, the daily Prothom Alo reported that the anti-discrimination student movement's'mass rally' program in Sylhet was obstructed by the police. When the students tried to break the barricade, the police dispersed them by firing sound grenades, tear gas shells, and shotguns. At this time, the police arrested seven people from the spot.

This incident took place in Akhalia area near Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Shabiprabi) around 4 pm today. It was reported that at least 20 students, police, journalists, and pedestrians were injured, but their names and identities were not immediately known. 

Besides the students and pedestrians, three policemen were injured. Apart from this, Mithu Das Joy, Sylhet correspondent of Dainik Kalbela newspaper, was also shot.

There was a movement of students there and the police force started firing. Many of the students and local people are injured.
