  • A group of BNP and Jamaat supporters recently took down Bangabandhu's photo because of her misdeeds.

BNP Jamaat supporters have taken down the photo of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from Bangladesh High Commission in London. 

 In a video that went viral on social media on Friday, the High Commissioner  Saida Muna Tasneem is seen giving a speech.  This much-discussed Bangladeshi diplomat who has been serving as the High Commissioner of Bangladesh in the UK since 2018.  There are complaints in the community that She turned the High Commission into a kind of party office during this period.  A group of BNP and Jamaat supporters recently took down Bangabandhu's photo because of her misdeeds. 

Meanwhile, Bangladesh High Commissioner in London, Saida Muna Tasnim, did not respond to a phone call on Friday afternoon London time to inquire about the matter. 

 Syed Sajidur Rahman Farooq, general secretary of the United Kingdom Awami League, did not pick up the phone when he asked for a statement regarding the removal of Bangabandhu's photo from the High Commission.

 It is to be noted that as part of the anti-government movement of shekh Hasina in Bangladesh, the Bangladesh High Commission was attacked and vandalized on February 7, 2018, from the BNP rally in London.  In that incident, a case was filed against BNP activists on behalf of the High Commission in London.  Following this incident, several leaders and workers of the United Kingdom Committee of BNP were arrested and jailed for a long time in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, senior BNP journalist Samsul Alam Liton was present in London during the video speech given by the High Commissioner at the High Commission after Bangabandhu's photo was taken down.  He once served as the President's Press Secretary in Bangladesh.  Liton said that he does not know who took down the picture.
