Barrister Abdur Razzaq, the senior lawyer, is spending days in a London hospital after being seriously ill with cancer.He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2020. The veteran lawyer is now very tired after fighting with cancer for the last four years.

Meanwhile, on Saturday (September 7), the news that Barrister Razzaq is resigning from the post of AB Party's chief advisor was published in Bangladeshi media. 

Saturday Solicitor Ghulam Azam, a close family friend and associate of Barrister Razzaq in London, was contacted.He told Daily Dazzling Dawn that Barrister Abdur Razzaq's family members know me as like family. His physical condition is not good. Was in ICU. Now warded. Currently, he is under the observation of doctors at the Royal London Hospital. I visit him five days a week. Solicitor Golam Azam further said that he is forbidden to speak. The doctors told me to do so. The weight of this handsome, long-bodied man has come down to only 53 kg.In this situation, he is not in the physical condition to think about party politics. He requested everyone's prayers for Barrister Abdur Razzaq.

Barrister Razzaq is the former Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh.He was the lead counsel for the accused at the International Criminal Tribunal for Bangladesh. In 2019, he resigned from Jamaat. Barrister Razzaq arrived in the UK on 18 December 2013. After that, he did not return to Bangladesh. It is known that he came to Britain to study in the late seventies and passed the bar in 1980. He was engaged in the profession of barrister in London until November 1985.In December 1985, he returned to the country with the aim of engaging himself in the legal profession in Bangladesh.Thirty years later, he returned to Britain and became fully engaged in the legal profession. But the obstacle is cancer. 

Barrister Razzaq is the father of two sons and one daughter in his personal life. Two sons have passed barristers from London long ago.In London, Abdur Razzaq used to live with his wife in a house in East London.His village house is in Shekhlal village of Mathiura union of Biyanibazar upazila.
