Dhaka, Bangladesh – The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is delighted to announce the official visit of Jurriaan Middelhoff, Ambassador for Youth, Education, and Work, aimed at strengthening partnerships in youth empowerment, skills development, and entrepreneurship.
During his visit, Ambassador Middelhoff engaged in meaningful discussions with Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Adviser for Youth & Sports, Asif Mahmud. Their conversations focused on enhancing youth participation in decision-making and providing support for young entrepreneurs. He is also set to meet with the Adviser for Labor & Employment to explore employment prospects and labor conditions.
As a keynote speaker at the Social Business Youth Summit, the Ambassador highlighted the "Youth at Heart" strategy. He also connected with students and aspiring changemakers at Dhaka University and participated in a discussion on the future of journalism in Bangladesh at the Drik Gallery exhibition.
The delegation will also travel to Chattogram to engage with female STEM students, addressing challenges and career opportunities in the field. Additionally, during a visit to the Ready-Made Garments sector, discussions centered on skills training, gender issues, and labor conditions. A key highlight of the visit was the Ambassador’s interaction with young entrepreneurs from Orange Corners Bangladesh, a program designed to equip aspiring business owners with the tools for success.
