A discussion meeting and reception program was organized on Thursday afternoon by the Moulvibazar Community Paramedic Association at a restaurant on Sreemangal Road.
The event was presided over by the association’s chief advisor, Dr. A. K. Zillul Haque, and conducted by the newly elected president, Shah Sabbir Ali. Speakers at the event included the association’s advisor and Medical Officer of Rajnagar Upazila Health Complex, Dr. Golam Kibria; former Vice Chairman of Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila, Hafiz Maulana Alaur Rahman Tipu; special correspondent of Daily Manabzamin, Mizanur Rahman; and Daily Jugantor’s Moulvibazar district correspondent, Hussain Ahmed.
Guests present at the event included senior field officer of Aastha, Nur Mohammad; teacher Nurul Islam; multimedia editor of The Daily Dazzling Dawn, Kamran Ahmed; teacher Ahsan Habib; and journalist Rabbi Mia.
During the event, medical kit boxes were gifted to the community paramedics by SwitchContact Aastha.In their remarks, newly elected president Shah Sabbir Ali and general secretary Idris Ali expressed their gratitude to all members of the association and called for collective efforts to improve primary healthcare services. Speakers congratulated the new leadership and wished them continued success in their endeavors.
