Israeli authorities have expressed their outrage over Ireland, Spain, and Norway's decision yesterday that they will formally recognize the state of Palestine.
According to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, the actions are a "reward to terror" and won't result in peace for Israel.
The Israeli government is "furious" over the rising international pushback against its expanding occupation of the West Bank, which Norway highlighted as justification for its recognition of Palestine, according to Al Jazeera's Sarah Khairat, reporting from Amman, Jordan.
“This gives you a sense of how angry Israel is about all of this”, said Khairat. “All of this is happening as the occupation of West Bank and teh war in Gaza continue. And as the families of those that have been abducted and taken captive in Gaza continue their protest against the Israeli government.”
