In the wake of a historic YouGov survey that saw Reform surpass the Conservatives for the first time ever, Nigel Farage has proclaimed himself as the “new opposition”.

The party leader challenged Sir Keir Starmer's immigration policies in a head-to-head televised discussion while holding a press conference in London.

The prime minister stated that the Conservatives are "still fighting hard fore every vote" and that they will not finish third in the general election with just three weeks to go before election day.

It comes as Mr Farage claimed that postal ballot is open to fraud and intimidation adding “it happens in this country all the time” while he was quizzed by callers on BBC’s 5 Live. But the Electoral Commission has said that there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the UK.
