According to London Fire Brigade, a second kid has perished in an east London home fire.

Assistant Commissioner Patrick Goulbourne said: “Sadly, one child was pronounced dead at the scene yesterday morning, and overnight a second child died in hospital.

“Two other children and two adults were also taken to hospital, where the children and one adult remain in a serious condition.”

Just before 8.30 am on Saturday, the London Fire Brigade (LFB) reported that six fire engines and about forty firemen were dispatched to the fire on Napier Road in East Ham.

The fire damaged half of the first floor and half of the ground level of a terraced house; by 9.10am, it was contained.
