During the ensuing struggle, Juhel strangled his elder brother before seeking hospital treatment for hand injuries sustained in the incident.

A local resident stated that in 2017, a teenage Desi boy was found guilty of murdering 20-year-old Syed Jamanoor Islam in Mile End following a dispute that originated from eggs being thrown.
