  • Crimestoppers Launches Urgent Appeal for Suspects, Including Alleged Child Sex Offender

An urgent public appeal has been launched by the independent charity Crimestoppers, who have released a list of London's most wanted individuals. The list includes a diverse range of suspects, from an alleged child sex offender and individuals wanted for immigration offences to those sought for violent assaults and drug-related crimes. The charity has emphasized that these individuals are considered a high priority for police and their capture is crucial for public safety.

The list, which is a collation of appeals and information from police forces nationwide, details the names and suspected crimes of fugitives believed to be residing in or frequenting the capital. Crimestoppers, known for its anonymous reporting service, is urging the public to provide any information they may have, while strongly cautioning against approaching any of the individuals. The public is advised to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or the police on 101.

Among the most serious cases is that of Yuxuan Yang, also known as Owen. In his late 20s, Yang is wanted for failing to appear at a magistrates court in North Wales on a series of deeply disturbing charges, including meeting a girl under 16 following grooming, sexual activity with a female under 16, and making indecent photographs of children. He previously lived in central London and is described as slim, approximately 5ft 10in tall. His case underscores the severe nature of the crimes associated with individuals on this list.

The list also features several individuals wanted on suspicion of immigration offences. These include Mary Jadesola Aduroja, Muhammed Babar Bashir (originally from Pakistan), Beauty Chikonzelo Chaima, Abdi Naasir Ahmed (originally from Somalia), and Eric Richard Asante (from Ghana). A significant point of analysis for this list is the absence of any individual of British Bangladeshi origin or from the Bangladeshi immigrant community, a notable demographic in London. This highlights the varied national origins of the individuals on the list but also the particular communities that are not represented in this specific appeal.

Violent crimes are also a key focus of the appeal. William Mitchel Luke Hedges is wanted on suspicion of Affray, Actual Bodily Harm, Common Assault, and Criminal Damage related to an incident on Epsom High Street. He is believed to be in the Romford area. Similarly, Faycel Nemir, described as being in his early 20s with an Eastern European accent and a distinctive red star tattoo, is wanted for a robbery in Westminster. Rayan Mayou, also known as Jacob Janvier, is sought in connection with the robbery of a high-value watch at Regents Park Underground Station.

Other notable fugitives include Simon Levy, who was sentenced to over four years in prison in his absence for breaching a Serious Crime Prevention Order, and Jason Anthony McLarty, wanted for theft from his employer and believed to be in Croydon. Drug offences are a concern with Kazim Johnson, wanted for failing to appear in court on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

Additionally, several individuals are wanted for extradition offences or have been recalled to prison for breaching their licence conditions. These include Dariusz Czyz, Andrzej Ireneusz Halat, Nicolae Anghel, and Miroslav Pesko, all wanted for extradition-related warrants. Ali Kaca and Miroslav Pesko are also wanted on recall to prison.

The public's cooperation is vital in these cases, and Crimestoppers reassures potential tipsters that all information can be provided completely anonymously. The charity's mission is to empower citizens to make their communities safer without fear of reprisal. This latest appeal represents a critical effort to bring a number of high-priority fugitives to justice and underscores the ongoing work of law enforcement and charitable organizations in combating crime across London and the UK.
