The plane crashed in Vinhedo, according to the local fire department.

The 62 people on board the Voepass flight included crew members.

Voepass said it does not yet have an update on whether there have been fatalities or injuries.

The ATR-72 plane was reportedly en route from Cascavel in the state of Parana to Guarulhos in Sao Paolo state.
